I'm going Crazy, why don't you come along?!

I am so very insane this week! For those of you who don't know, I had surgery on March 23rd tp have scar tissue and what not removed. Feeling ok at this point in time! Kayla's birthday is coming up fast! Trying to plan a birthday party while recovering from surgery! Hmmmmm, can you say "sucker"? It's all good. I just sit on the couch glueing feathers on to the Mardi Gras masks for the party. So much fun. I was crazy enough to get a dog, now I am actually trying to find another. Kayla needs a fun little dog, and Gizmo needs a fun little playmate! Wish me luck in my hunt, and if you can find me a dog, let me know! So, that is about all that is happening here. I think we are all getting spring fever, and so ready for summer. Homework is not as much fun anymore! Well, I think I will go and try to find my happy place now! Love ya all, and have a good day! computer junkie

So, here I am at 1:06 in the a.m. playing on Facebook and blogging! I think I have turned into a bit of a computer junkie. I find it all very entertaining! And of course I should always be entertained!
I always ignored Facebook and such, until recently. Now I can't go to bed without checking to see how everyone is and what is happening and who sent me a drink and who hit me with a pillow and all of the other off the wall stuf that is facebook. Normally I ignore the emails and such that say "send this to 8 friends for good luck and yada yada yada. On facebook, I got into it. I can sit at my desk and feed cyber fish and what not. I am having a blast finding people that I have missed for years. I just realized that I have a 15 year class reunion coming up. I totally could have done without that knowledge. I am having a hard time reckoning that. Oh well! So, hope everyone is getting more sleep than I am, and keep me posted on your news. If you aren't all ready on Facebook, Get there!

wow, i am not keeping up

So, I am falling behind in all sorts of ways! My blog is very forlorn, I have had very little sleep, even less peace and quiet, and my house is a "tad bit messy" right now. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Oops, all ready today. Not much out of the ordinary happening here lately. I did gain another baby. I'm tellin' ya, I inherit children. I went and had a hysterectomy and I have more children than before. It's all good. I keep thinking that when Gabriel goes to school full days next year, I will go to work full time! When I do, I will probably get on here and write about how much I miss my kids and being home. Right now I am going to bed so I can start all over again tomorrow. Which means I will have to stop blogging and playing on facebook and get to bed. Good night to you all!!!

such a slacker

I am such a slacker these days. Have you ever wondered just how the time gets away from you? I wonder every single day. Let's see what has changed and happpened since October.
1. Halloween- Kayla was Wednesday Addams and Gabriel was Batman. We ran around like crazy people from 1 party to the next and had a lot of fun!
2. Thanksgiving- It was just us this year. We ate too much really good food and decorated the house for Christmas. It was great to just lounge. The day after Thanksgiving found me out shopping at Walmart for the "big deals". That was a blast!
3. Christmas- Grandma and Grandpa Stubbs came to visit this year. The kids of course had a blast on Christmas morning. The big gift this year was a trampoline for the back yard. That was my big find the day after Thanksgiving! We have been on the trampoline every day since!
4. December 26th- Jacob turned 37!!!!! It was fairly low key this year! Ice cream cake, singing, and gifts. It was us and grandma and grandpa.
5. New years- new years eve was just us at home. We cooked fabulous food and hung out. Gabriel crashed 15 minutes before midnight! New years day we went sledding in Pine Valley. Had a blast, but very sore today! I think we are either too old or too out of shape for sledding!
I hope you are all well and have had a great Holiday season! One of my Resolutions this year is to be a better blogger and keep in better touch with my friends and family! Hold me to it!

still alive

Hello all!!! Still alive here, even if I don't always look it! For those of you that I don't see on a daily basis, surgery went well! Dr. Lunt did a fabulous job. I am now in menopause, but not any meaner than I ever was, maybe just a little warmer now. I have only had minor hurdles at this point, am healing nicely, and pain free for the first time in 5 months. It has all been easier than I ever expected.
I am going a little stir crazy at this point. I can't wait to get back to normal and be able to do all of the things that have been forbidden for the last 4 weeks. My husband and children are getting tired of lifting and cleaning for me, and I like to do it myself.
I get to go back to work after the first of November. I am really excited, I get to go back as a Customer Service Manager. I have waited a while to get this promotion. The first couple weeks should be interesting. I still get pretty tired by mid-afternoon, and I have pretty much lain around for the last 4 weeks. So wish me and those around me luck. Hehe.
Well, it is coming up on 8:30 p.m. and I am ready for bed. Sorry I have not posted in so long, I will try to do better from now on!!

Surgery day

My surgery date is finally set. September 29th will be the big day! I can't wait to have this done and start healing. Today was my biopsy, it was awful!! I don't ever want to have another one of those done. There was no pain relief involved today, most unpleasant.
So now we just wait. Clean house, get things organized, and just wait.
I want everyone to remember that after the 29th when you see my kids in funny socks, or with weird hair, or clothes that look a bit off, grandma and dad are in charge and I am not! My kids like to see what grandma will let them wear when she is in charge. I am just glad that she will be here to help. The kids are glad because they think grandma is "fun", they don't realize that she is the one who helped make me what I am today (she knows all the tricks).

Gone for so long

Things here are insane! Let's see, what has happened since the last update? School has started. Kayla is in 4th grade and loving it, Gabriel is in kindergarten and loving it. We have survived all of that at this point. It has been busy, but that isn't anything new.
I am going to have surgery soon. Yay! I can't wait to have it done and over with. I will be having a full hysterectomy. There will no longer be a womb at my inn! My mom will be here for a while to help take care of me, the kids, and the house. It probably won't be her dream vacation, but she is more than willing to come and revel in the insanity. Recovery time is something that I do not look forward to, but will just have to deal with. Life will be much better after all is said and done.
Gabriel turned 5 on August 21st. He is very proud of that. He is still waiting for a pocket knife. HAH fat chance of that if I have any say!
Kayla is still reading anything she can get her hands on. She is doing great in school. She still refuses to have a haircut!
Hope evryone is well!
