Gabriel is ginormous now

Yesterday I took Gabriel to his 5 year old/kindergarten check-up. He now weighs a whopping 39 pounds(fully dressed of course) and he is 44 1/4 inches tall ( yes the 1/4 inch counts). It may not seem like much for someone who will be 5 in a little over a month, but it is huge for a 2 pounder. He was hilarious at the appointment. He did really good on all counts. He had a BIT of a meltdown when it came time to get his 4 shots, but he was o-kay by the time he got to the treasure chest for his prize. He still absolutly HATES when the nurses put on the rubber gloves. He has issues with that. He of course went through his list of "ailments" with the DR., I believe I have the only almost 5 year old hypocondriac. He wanted to be carried most of the day because I " let that lady stab him in both legs" and he " has a hard time walking". It only worked a little bit. I think the shots were almost as hard on Kayla and Stella as they were on him. Both girls covered their ears, rocked, and tried not to cry while he was having his shots. He actually took a nap today because " yesterday was so hard" on him. He is still my nutty kid. I am just so glad and lucky to have him here and healthy. It wasn't always a given.

Stadium of fire recap

Stadium of Fire was great. The girls and I had an awesome time. I liked the Blue Man Group. and the girls were in awe of Miley Cyrus. Jacob and Gabriel were less than a block away watching the fireworks, and they loved it. It was a tiring trip because it was so fast, and I had to be at work on Saturday night shortly after we got home, but it was worth it. It may make future fourth of july's pale in comparison, but it will be a great memory for all! Hope everyone else that went had as good of a time as we did.
